Mrs. Midori Storms
Students can’t wait for Spanish class ¬– and it’s no wonder, given the language and travel background of Señora Midori Storms.
Born in Brazil, Señora Storms has lived, taught and traveled across the globe, from Mexico to Europe. She holds bachelor’s degrees in Spanish and German and a Master’s degree in modern languages.
Señora Storms also brings to Hale a love for students and an unparalleled devotion to teaching. Each school day, she arrives at 6 a.m. to assist students with their lessons. How students love her experiential approach to teaching! At each grade level, projects focusing on everyday Spanish increase in difficulty, culminating in skits performed entirely in Spanish.
Mrs. Terri Stein
Mrs. Stein completed her BA in Elementary Education at Brooklyn College then followed it with two master’s degrees: one in Elementary Education and the other in Community Health at Adelphi University.
Mrs. Stein brings over 38 years of teaching experience in both public and independent education to her 3rd year at Hale Academy. As a fifth grade teacher in New York, she was chosen to be in the pilot science and math program, “The Voyage of the Mimi.” During her years of teaching at an independent school in Southeastern Florida, she was named to “Who’s Who among American Teachers.” Mrs. Stein’s enthusiasm for teaching is infectious and after speaking to her for a few minutes, a person can feel the excitement that she brings to a classroom.
